On processing of full-scale tests' results considering trajectory observations of manoeuvres

The new approach to processing of full-scale experiments' results on vessel manoeuvring has been proposed. It includes more complete using of the manoeuvre trajectory information, that allows to obtain all kinematic characteristics. The processing uses a spline-approximation of the trajectory parametrized by time, and allows to smooth the influence of the observation result errors to some extend. However, the method claimes a rather rigid requirements to the level of these errors and it leads to the further perfecting of the vessel observation tools (for example, using of DGPS or GPS P-code).

On the Nomoto model of manoeuvrability

In the paper the new approach to processing of the outcomes of full-scale experiments on the standard manoeuvre "Zigzag" has been considered. The model which thus has been identified is an elementary linear model called the Nомото model (or Nомото-Nоrrbin). It is widely used in the processing practice abroad, though in domestic shipbuilding and maintenance of fleet the relation to it is ambiguous. Largely it is connected to inconvenience of conventional techniques of these experimental data processing. Just this problem has been considered in the work, the author has demonstrated another approach both to obtaining of experimental data and to their processing trying to simplify it.
